Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Hello! You might remember little Oliver. Oli was born with a cleft lip. His operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) was featured on “Paul O’Grady’s Little Heroes”. We hoped that documenting the experience would help other families going through the same thing. The care he and other children receive at GOSH is phenomenal. Oli is obsessed with dinosaurs and we’d like to raise some money for GOSH by running the Loch Ness marathon on the 3rd of October!

GOSH is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare. They treat around a quarter of a million children a year, but that’s not all they do. They’re the UK’s only academic Biomedical Research Centre specialising in paediatrics and host the UK’s only paediatric National Institute for Health Research. Their pioneering research, treatments and techniques are used around the world.
