Lochinver Ladies That Leg It! · 26 April 2014

The Year 8 pupils at Lochinver House raise funds for their chosen charities, voted for by the whole school every year. This year our chosen charities are Pumping Marvellous, Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group and The Anthony Nolan Charity.

Story

Thanks for visiting the Lochinver Ladies That Leg It! JustGiving page.

28th April - WE DID IT! In 2 days we walked further than our 30 mile target: in sunshine and rain, up and down hills, across beautiful countryside and on top of some pretty impressive cliffs. Some of us have blisters, most of us have aching  legs but it was well worth it. We all felt real camaraderie and there was a lot of laughter shared.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us for this adventure and to those who have so generously donated. Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Niblett who met us at the end with a very welcome bottle of "bubbly" - it was a memorable and moving moment for us all.

Twelve mums of boys in Year 8 will be taking themselves (and their walking boots) on a challenge to fund raise for the Head Boys’ Charities: Diabetes UK, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the Christopher Niblett Memorial Fund.

Over the weekend of 26 & 27 April, and in whatever weather is thrown at us, the team will walk part of the South Downs Way including taking in the 7 Sisters and Beachy Head, covering a distance of 30 miles.

Please support us by giving generously. Thank you!

Our team is Christine Le Couilliard, Nicola Jarman, Lorraine Gallagher, Tania Hawkins, Mandy Davies, Angela Wood, Anita Goraya, Lynda Gaeton, Sally Ward, Amanda Magill, Sophie Wilks and Koulla Degirmenci.
