We have decided to run a half marathon together (13.1 miles) every weekend of lockdown 2.0 to raise money for Willowbrook Hospice. 

Willowbrook is a hospice in Merseyside providing care for patients with advanced and incurable illness whatever the cause. The hospice costs £4.9 million a year to run but the NHS contributes just 28% of this. The remaining 72% comes from charitable giving. 

The Covid 19 pandemic has had a huge financial impact and has left Willowbrook in a financialy challenging situation.The latest restrictions mean the Willowbrook will yet again lose more money that it would have made from its cafe and 9 charity shops and they are unable to host any fundraising events. 

We hope to raise some money to help Willowbrook to continue to provide outstanding care.
