Story
Firstly, thank you for visiting my Lockdown CycLEJOG page!
I really wanted to do something to raise money to help those in the NHS continue their work against the unprecedented threat to health presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. I am not an NHS worker, however many of my family and friends are and I feel I owe it to the people who comprise the NHS to give something back.
So, because I am frankly as useful as a teapot made of chocolate in terms of providing healthcare, I am jumping on my bike and asking you, kind reader, to sponsor me to cycle the length of the nation, from Land's End to John O'Groats, for the National Health Service, specifically for NHS Charities Together.
During Lockdown CycLEJOG my plan is to cycle 1,000 miles, principally indoors on a turbo trainer, to embrace the spirit of lockdown, with some short outdoor rides too (to preserve my sanity!). I am very fortunate to still be working at present, so my goal is to complete Lockdown CycLEJOG in roughly 10 days, i.e. averaging approximately 100 miles daily, starting on Friday 1st May 2020.
Thanks for reading, and stay safe!
