Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

This all started off with drawing my fabulous female friends and posting the drawings on instagram...

So many have told me how empowered it has made them feel, which is exactly what we need as women in this weird time we are living through.

I have decided to see if we can make some money for helping protect women in the home in these scary times, so any donation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Maz x

One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner. Refuge supports around 6,000 women & children on any given day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence. By kindly sponsoring me today you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and children escaping domestic violence.
