Story
Like most rugby clubs across the country, we were all devastated by the early end of our rugby season due to the COVID-19 lockdown. For those who participate in this sport, rugby is an important part of our lives. We live and play by a code of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. Qualities that we promote on the field of play but equally we encourage in our lives in pursuit of becoming better people. This period of enforced reflection has made many of us consider the important things in our lives. How we live our lives, our families, our friends, considering those who may be less fortunate than ourselves and those who are vulnerable in our communities. The test is how we act to support one another through these difficult times.
The Unders 12s "Warriors" at Wymondham Rugby Club decided to make this video and to share it with you all in order to demonstrate what is possible, even in these challenging circumstances, with a strong ethos of team and working together. At very least, we hope to bring a smile to you all and increase the fundraising efforts for an excellent cause.
This is our very own rugby salute to the NHS, the emergency services, social carers and all key workers...
