We are a multi-award winning, entirely voluntary, charity that supports people from the U.K paralysed by a spinal cord injury. We help individuals to access life changing physiotherapy and we support the research world in their quest to reverse paralysis. #TeamRST

Story

Once quarantine relaxed in Barcelona, we started exercising outside and more importantly found a joy in sea swimming at the now spacious Barceloneta beach. 2 of us quickly turned into 4 and more. We are all ravers at heart, love dancing and electronic music and have had to evolve our summer challenges & joys due to festivals & nightclubs being put to one side currently.

We are raising for the Rooprai Spinal Trust with this being a foundation that Zac Washington-Young (our team captain) is very much a part of due to an extremely serious spinal injury he suffered at 22 years of age. The last eight years have been an incredible story of his mental strength. Starting from a place where the doctors told him he would never walk again; Zac is now not only walking but swimming incredibly well and developing for team GB. Coming up to his 30th Birthday this summer, Ravers2Swimmers have Zac as a talismanic leader and inspiration to the team.

(Also thanks to Bristol's Ravers2Runners for the name inspiration)
