Story

In September 2023, I will leave my comfort zone and run the Vitality London 10km race. This is to raise money for my best friend, Ruby Joyce, who sadly passed away in December 2019, aged only 13.

I am looking for donations to help a charity called The Deam Factory. This fantastic charity was set up to grant wishes and dreams to children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.
Ruby planned to have a puppy; after a VIP tour around Battersea Dogs Home, Ruby found the perfect puppy, who they named Star ⭐️

The Dream Factory funded all of this, and sadly a few months later, Ruby passed away. Without the donations, the Dream Factory’s work would not have been possible; they impacted Ruby’s life by providing Star, who is still with Ruby’s Mum, Anna.

If you know me running isn’t my favourite thing to do, and I have never run a 10k before, but for me, it provides me with a reason to raise some money. And that reason is for my best friend Ruby, whom I have known since we were five until she left us aged 13.

I know how much Star has helped Ruby’s Mum, Anna since Ruby passed, so if I can help the Dream Factory help other families, I know I will make Ruby proud.

I have also convinced my parents to join me, which is an achievement.
Please find a few spare pennies or pounds and help this fantastic charity to remember my friend Ruby Joyce.
