My dad was diagnosed with mixed dementia and Alzheimer's in November.

I don't imagine there is a good time to receive this news but having lost my mum a few weeks earlier, it was definitely hard for us to process.  BUT the Alzheimer's society was there to help guide us through what we needed to do.  They put us in touch with memory cafés, explained all about power of attorney and made sure we knew what help Dad was entitled to and how to get it.

After Dad received his diagnosis I discovered how many other people were living with dementia.

So not only for my Dad and family, but for every person and their loved ones living with dementia, we are doing the Glow walk on 10 March to raise money for this fantastic charity.
