Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the RACE FOR LIFE in July and this is my fundraising for it.

Every 2 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with Cancer.

Cancer is something that effects us all, we all know somene who has suffered or lost their battle with cancer, be it a family member, a friend or an acquaintance.

I have recently been given the news that an old friend, someone I have known since I was 4, has lost her battle with Lung Cancer. We always think there is more time, far too often we say "I will do that tomorrow". I for one am guilty of that, but think about all the people who won't have a tomorrow.

Lola, was one of the most truly sensational people I could ever have been priviledged to meet. She was always seen with a smile on her face and full of optimism.

She touched the lives of so many people without realising it, and I believe will continue to do so long after her passing.

Lola was a 28year young woman who excelled in everything. Founding a style consultancy business, she was often featured in magazines giving style advice.

Lola was taken from us all to soon, but her legacy will continue to live on and touch others.

Lola will always be missed and there will not be a day that goes by where someone doesn't think or talk about Lola, but there is much comfort in knowing that we all have many great memories to share about her.

Why breast cancer?
There were a few charities and causes close to Lola's heart, one of which being for underprivaledged children, another being Breast Cancer. Although Lola herself lost her battle with lung cancer, she had a heart in breast cancer. She often mentioned it within her blog, on her website, and amongst friends as the cause that she was most behind. I truly believe that if Lola were here racing with us, this is what she would be racing for.

An angel taken before her time, now sits in heaven at peace.
