On June 30th I will set off from Bath to walk 100km for Advance Charity because I can, and therefore I need to; because I was recently reminded that it's not the case for everyone.

I'm walking to say thank you for the amazing work that Social Services do. 

I intend to post a video feed every 10 - 20km of the journey @lola_and_nou 

Advance provides for Women, Men and Young People regardless of their ethnicity, sexuality, immigration status, physical and mental health

• Emergency Housing and Refuge Anonymous Housing. Advance also provides Sanctuary Scheme that helps Victims/Survivors of abuse strengthen the security of their home.
• specialists based in A&E help patients who reveal they are experiencing domestic abuse and also work closely with doctors and nurses and other healthcare professionals so the they know how to help domestic violence Victims/Survivors
• Maternity Planning, Mental Health Support and Referrals, Substance Abuse Support and Referrals and Young People at Risk Planning
• Criminal Justice, Legal Advice and support throughout police and court appointments and proceedings

Every amount of support great or small to Advance makes a huge Life Changing, Life Affirming, Life Saving difference to the Victims and Survivors of Abuse that they help.
