London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·

Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's thousands of dads, grandads, partners, brothers, uncles, sons and mates. But it doesn't have to be this way. The money you raise will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments

Story

I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer kills 1 in 8 men. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

Sadly, far too many families are touched by the many types of cancer that are out there. Very recently, both my family and closest friends are feeling the effects of a diagnosis and facing treatment and decisions that no one should ever have to make.

My best friend David, has recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. There is very little that I can do other than offer my support and love, much in the same way as he and his wife, Sarah have done for me.

But, around 18 months ago, Sarah dragged me out running and apparently, I quite enjoy it... So to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer I am running with her and intend to complete my first Half Marathon - London Landmarks.

Please donate if you can. Sarah and I will keep you up to date on how our training is progressing.

Thank you
