Story
I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer six years ago (2019) and rarely a day goes by without thinking about what the cancer is up to. I've had two biopsies and so far the cancer seems under control. My urologist Christopher Ogden keeps an eye on it as part of an active surveillance process (thank you, Christopher).
Although I'm not a paradigm of virtue, I do run and walk a lot. Hence my participation in the London Landmarks Half Marathon -and my decision to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
I'm running to raise money for lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. Prostate Cancer UK is committed to a world where men's lives are not limited by prostate cancer.
Your donations can help make this possible.
Thank you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. From my proverbial nether regions!!!!!!!!
PS: One sobering thought. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK.
