Story
My fiance Andrew was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer last year. He requested a basic PSA check, even though is he only 52 years of age. The doctor wasn't too concerned at this stage, even when the result came back at 6.9.
Andrew pushed again to get further tests done and following an MRI and biopsy, the cancer was confirmed. He has decided to have his prostate removed, the consequences of which can be life-altering ... I'll let you read up why, but better than the life-ending consequences of doing nothing.
We still have the operation to go though imminently, but together we can beat the cancer and ensure that we get married, grow old together and see our kids have their kids.
This is why I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 in support of Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s someone’s dad, brother, partner, or mate. I'm running to raise money for lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. Prostate Cancer UK are committed to a world where men's lives are not limited by prostate cancer. Your donations can help make this possible.
