Phoebe's London Marathon 2022

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
I'm running the London Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer kills 1 in 8 men. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.I first learnt about this type of cancer when my lovely Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in December 2012, only 2 years after surviving a triple heart bypass. He received radiotherapy for 18 weeks followed by HRT before he finally went into remission in 2015 whilst I was finishing my final year at school. Until 2018 my dad was under the wonderful care of the doctors at Clatterbridge hospital on the Wirral, before he was finally discharged. Prior to this, as a female, I had no idea about prostate cancer and my aim is to raise awareness around it amongst both males and females. I can barely run a 5k, so this is a huge challenge for me & I will be throwing myself into marathon training full throttle. I am aiming to raise £5000 through this page and events so would appreciate anything you can donate no matter how small. Thank you! Phoebe xx
