In January 2023 my husband Rob was diagnosed with prostate cancer aged 47. ! In March 2023 he under went surgery, having a prostatectomy, this was given to be his best option due to his young age and the fact of the grade of his cancer. He is , to  date making an amazing recovery. I am so thankful and so very proud of Rob and we are both passionate about raising awareness with men, as Robs cancer was found almost by fluke- so a real bitter sweet process of being thankful that hopefully it’s been caught early and on the other hand our worlds falling apart and trying desperately maintain the norm to get him better !! 

After chatting to a wonderful friend we decided (her, for her own very personal cause and grief) to undertake a tough 12 months of events …. Beginning in April 2023 (just a month after robs op) with cathedral to castle (10 mile multi terrain race) and amazingly ending with THE LONDON MARATHON . 

I decided to raise for prostate cancer uk, after chatting with Rob about our events and he was very passionate about he amazing work and support that prostate cancer uk give.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
