I secured a place in the 2024 London Marathon by ballot more in hope then expectation. I was running as a personal challenge. 

However, over the last 12  months four friends have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at varying stages.

I decide the training and running would be nothing compared to the personal challenges they are facing.  The challenge for me would be much easier and more worthwhile with those friends in mind so this is for them and the 1 in 8 men in the UK affected by Prostate Cancer.

In the words of the charity "that's 1 Dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or good friend"
