Story
In 2019, my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was a life-altering moment for our family—but thanks to the incredible advances in treatment and the vital work of charities like Prostate Cancer UK, he’s still with us today.
Throughout his treatment, my Dad’s goal was to make it to his 80 Birthday. In May last year, he reached that goal and we celebrated in style.
Running the London Marathon in his honour feels like the perfect way to celebrate his strength, raise money for a cause that helped save his life, and support others going through similar battles.
I want to use this opportunity not only to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK, but also to raise awareness of a disease that affects so many men and needs to be talked about more openly. As we discovered, early diagnosis can save lives, and the more awareness we raise, the more lives we can help protect.
I will be running for my Dad, for others facing this illness, and for the charity that has given our family the gift of time. Having him there, just before he turns 81, cheering me on, would mean everything. Every extra year with him is a gift — thanks to charities like Prostate Cancer UK.
💙 Every donation, no matter the size, will help support vital research, raise awareness, and ensure more families get the extra years we’re so grateful for.
Thank you so much for your support.
