On the 26th April I will be running the London Marathon for my incredible Dad, and all others battling with this illness.

A few years ago my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and, unfortunately, his operation came too late and the Cancer had spread. A combination of hormone treatment and Chemo worked for a while, but his PSA started rising significantly in late 2024. Further Chemo in 2025 was ineffective and he is now part of the Bayer Trillium 235 trial at the Royal Marsden. Faced with challenge after challenge, he still continues to be the most incredible man I know and the best role model I could ever ask for, so to be able to participate in this wonderful event means the absolute world to me.

On top of raising money for this amazing charity, I would love to raise awareness and encourage men to get checked. 1 in 8 men will get Prostate Cancer in their lifetime, and an early diagnosis not only improves chances of survival, but can allow for less invasive treatment options which help to maintain quality of life and reduce long-term side effects. Please either get tested yourself, or pester your Dads, Brothers, Uncles, Mates, etc to do so, as you can make an incredible difference and genuinely save a life.
