Story
London Marathon 2026
On Sunday 26 April, I will be running the London Marathon in support of Prostate Cancer UK .
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. Currently, there are over 500,000 men in the UK living with Prostate cancer. I’m one of them. Last Summer, following a PSA test and the vigilance of my Doctor during an annual medical I was referred to a consultant urologist and diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer.
Following brilliant advice from the team at Prostate Cancer UK and the London Prostate Centre I'm now on active surveillance and one of the lucky one's. Early diagnosis makes a big difference but is sadly not common enough. Research into the most common cancer in men is woefully under funded.
Everyone who knows me, knows I am a keen runner. It’s my thinking time; my time to relax.
So, I'm running the London marathon to raise money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. Prostate Cancer UK do amazing work - raising awareness, funding lifesaving research, campaigning for change and providing helpful support and information. And, Alex, my eldest daughter is going to run it with me to provide much needed support!
Any donations big or small will be hugely appreciated and will go a long way to support the fantastic work that is needed.
At the very least, and more important than any donations, if you want to check your risk… or that of any of your loved ones click below.

Thank you for your support.
