Welcome to my London Marathon Challenge for Prostate Cancer UK!
Hi, I'm Jarvis from Leeds, and I'm taking on my biggest running challenge yet: the London Marathon. This is the furthest I've ever run, and I'm doing it to raise vital funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate cancer is shockingly common, affecting 1 in 8 men in the UK, with the risk rising to 1 in 4 for Black men from age 45 (guess my age...). It touches every community, impacting someone's dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle, or friend.
My family has been directly affected: a history of prostate cancer in my dad and uncle puts me in the higher risk bracket. They've both been successfully treated and are monitoring their health, but this motivates me to fight for better prevention and research. I'm running to help fund lifesaving research and essential support for men and their families.
Please support, follow, share, and sponsor my journey. My ultimate goal is to raise awareness and the importance of getting PSA levels checked early. Prevention is better than cure!
Any donation, big or small, will help me make a real difference. Thank you so much for your generosity.
