Story

On the 19th May 2023, I had emergency spinal cord surgery to remove a tumour from my spinal cord. The surgery left me unable to walk, I had very little sensation in my lower limbs and poor proprioception. After a few months in hospital, with daily physio, OT and a lot of hard work, I learnt to walk again… it’s a long road to recovery and so much of it is unseen.Whilst in hospital and since coming home, I have received lots of support for the Spinal Injuries Association and seen the fantastic work this charity does. Raising money for this incredible charity by… learning to walk again to running a marathon in under 2 years 🤞🏻
