The Aim:

Paul Hanson and George Coleman will beattempting to beat the world record of  driving from London to Cape Town. The currentrecord is set at 10 days, 3 hours and16 minutes. In the spirit of the record,it should be completed covering as much land as possible. Therefore notbypassing large areas of land via boat or flying.

We will be starting at Marble Arch, London at05:00 on the 15^th January 2016. Aiming to finish at Mount Nelson Hotel, CapeTown less than 10 days later. Ensuring that we keep within the speed limits isessential.

Charities:

We will be completing this challenge for two chosencharities. We are hoping to raise around £5000-£7500 through online and offlinedonations. Furthermore sponsorship options from companies are greatly accepted.Donations online will be through Just Giving and Just Giving Crowd Funding.

British Red Cross:

The British Red Cross ispart of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement; we support those in crisiswhoever and wherever they are. The raised money will support both local andglobal requirements. High profile work such as our health and sanitation workin West Africa during the Ebola crisis, our humanitarian work in Syria, aidingthe wounded and providing shelter for the displaced affected by war, have been carried out. Furthermoresupporting  the Nepalese Red Cross duringthe aftermath of the Nepalearthquakes.

Protrack Rhino TaskTeam:

ProtrackRhino Task Team is developed from the founders of Protack Anti-Poaching Unit.Which is the oldest and largest anti-poaching unit in South Africa. Protrack Rhino Task Team are trained by Protrack toprevent rhino poaching. Raised funds will go towards funding and supporting the anti-poachingteam. Furthermore they are raising funds to purchase a small plane to scanlarge poaching red spots.
