I was meant to take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Independent Age.  Due to Covid, I was assigned an independent task of running the Local Landmarks Challenge: my first  ever 21k half marathon in my local park:  Brockwell. I completed it yesterday: the 25th April 2020. What better time to raise money for the elderly than now when they need us more than ever before?More than 1 million older people say they are often or always lonely. As well as feeling cut off from friends and family, it can mean that when difficulties arise, they feel they have no one to turn to. Your donations will help Independent Age to recruit and train more volunteer visitors and callers and bring the gift of friendship to older people across the UK.
