Story
Hello,
I am Maria and in June last year, we climbed Mount Snowdon at night time to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity after my Dad was treated at the Royal Marsden in 2019 after being diagnosed with Liposarcoma cancer, a cancer made up of fatty tissue cells, he had an operation to remove the tumour and was cancer free..
In December 2021, days before Christmas my Dad, Joe was told that his cancer had returned, in February 2022 he was told he has a tumour and will need another operation to remove the cancer.
I am sure he will beat Cancer again. But, I felt like we wanted to once again give back to this charity, who’s work is remarkable and really does help the lives of those living with Cancer. As well as a little thank you for looking after my Dad.
At a time where charities need as much as help as they can get, We’ve decided to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 3rd April 2022. If you would like to sponsor me and this incredible charity then any donations big or small will be appreciated.
Thank you
Maria xx
