Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

We are running the 2021 London Marathon in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

In January 2020, Ryan was one of the first in the UK to be granted access to Kaftrio on the NHS, a drug that massively increases lung function.

Prior to this, his lung function was 24% and decreasing. He couldnt play football anymore and struggled to do any exercise. Hospital admissions were plenty and often and he had to have hospital  IVs for a few weeks when his daughter, Lottie, was just 10 weeks old.

Then Kaftrio came along. His lung function is now 60%, he is back playing football, exercising and can play with his little girl without struggling to breathe. We are now running the marathon to raise as much money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, who continually support those with CF.
