London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
After 7 ballot attempts, I've finally got a place in the London marathon for 2017!
I have also decided to have another go at the London to Brighton 100km ultra marathon. Hoping to beat my 2013 time and then retire from running!
I've decided to take this opportunity to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Action!
As some of you will know my father in law-ish (if Becky plays her cards right), Mike, has been fighting this disease and whilst he was fortunate enough to receive early diagnosis and has received some of the best, most innovative treatment, others aren't as fortunate.
It is key that people receive early diagnosis for a chance of surviving this awful disease and this is what Pancreatic Cancer Action campaign to raise awareness of what is known as the 'silent cancer.'
Despite having the lowest survival rate of all ten most common cancers, pancreatic cancer ONLY receives 3% of all cancer research funding.
Early Diagnosis Saves Lives.
So please give what you can, all donations are so greatly appreciated from us and the charity. Help us help them to raise awareness.
Thanks very much
