Story

I am BRCA positive so I was always aware that my chances were pretty high of having breast cancer or ovarian cancer at some point in my life.

When it first happened to me, two years ago, my father had just passed away (cancer again). My second "chapter" hit me when we were already living in London, so The Royal Marsden Hospital became my home, my office, my hangout place...my "everything". I feel very lucky to have been treated there and be healthy today so I want to make sure that as many people as possible can get similar care when facing a cancer diagnosis. And maybe, in the future, I won’t need to explain my children what BRCA is.

My husband Pablo and I, we will be walking the 15 miles of the Banham Marsden March in May 3rd. I still have no idea how I will make it :) I guess, just one step at a time... Thanks for supporting The Royal Marsden!
