This July I'm taking on what will be a significant challenge for me.  Over 4 days I'm taking part in Raptör, cycling 310 miles from London, via Amsterdam, and on to Brussels to support Action Medical Research, a wonderful unique charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. 

To say that I'm woefully inexperienced in the saddle would be an understatement: my practically unused bike has been gathering dust for the last decade. While somewhat daunted by the challenge, I'm excited to be taking part and will be working hard to be event-ready by 12 July!

Did you know that Action have been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now? They have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. They are now driving forward children’s research, including in the fight against COVID-19 and rare diseases. You can read more previous successes that Action have funded here.
