Story

Hello and thanks for visiting my sponsorship page.

On 20 May 2011, I will be joining my employer's London to Oxford Cycle Challenge raising money for Help the Hospices. Starting in Twickenham, we will be cycling more than 60 miles in one day come rain or shine, so we will be earning every penny of sponsorship we manage to raise.

The route goes along "picturesque minor roads with some gently undulating hills." I suspect this is A Lie. And, because that's not enough of a challenge, I'm doing it on a Pashley Princess Sovereign, an eight-speed city bike with a bell and a massive basket.

The money raised will go to Help the Hospices who do some amazing work supporting hospices around the country. Collectively hospices have to raise an incredible £500million pounds every year to continue providing end of life care and support to loved ones.

Anything you are able to donate will make a huge difference, especially as my employer has made a donation meaning that, together with the registration fee I have paid, the core event costs are fully covered. Therefore, every pound you donate will go straight to the charity. Donating on this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thanks for all your support!
