Story

Over the course of 9 days we will travel along the west coast of Scotland, starting in Glasgow we will make our way up north through Oban/Morar/Applecross/Ullapool/Durness/John O Groats and finally crossing by ferry to Orkney, our arrival falling upon the summer solstice. Racking up a distance of roughly 500miles

This bike ride is to mark 5 years since Paul passed away, he had been suffering from Motor Neurone Disease for nearly 20 years, being the second longest survivor.

Throughout all the indignity and suffering that he went through, he maintained his dignity and integrity, and he never lost his ability to love, make jokes, work on creative projects or go out of his way to help others. He never asked "Why me?", because he believed there were hundreds of others worse off than himself. He left behind him a loving partner, family and friends, as well as a host of memories.

Jack and I are doing this for Paul and for all those that supported him, the memory of him is still strong in all our minds and hearts, hopefully this ride will raise important funds for MNDA to help others like Paul in the future.

So please take a minute to remember Paul and the great work that MNDA do and donate towards this cause
