Story
Our Event: On 13th September 2013, Our Hope4Mae Cycle (Looay Gharib) will be setting-off on our Charity Ride from The Grimsby Telegraph Office to the London Daily Mail Office... Why???
Mae :-) Mae Louisa Lilly Fox was born on 10th May 2009 in Doncaster. Unfortunately, there were complications during her birth and Mae suffered some injury to her brain and she was later diagnosed as having Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy; which causes physical disability in human development, chiefly in the various areas of body movement. Mae has made fantastic progress and persists to amaze those close to with her positive attitude & determination. She tries so hard to work against her condition but, unfortunately, no matter how hard she tries she cannot stand or walk independently.
Now There Is Hope: Mae has been accepted for a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy at St Louis children’s hospital Missouri by Dr T s Park who has been doing this specialised procedure for more than 25 years and has operated on more than 2,000 children from 43 countries. Dr Park holds a 100% success rate. The surgery will permanently reduce Mae's abnormal muscle tone. Her sitting and standing postures will also improve. As will her balance, endurance and levels of comfort. For all these reasons Mae would be a very good candidate and the operation will help her significantly.

At the time of writing (August 2013) just over £30k has been raised for Mae so far - see her main fundraising page http://www.justgiving.com/hope4mae. This will be charged to your phone bill. This is a fantastic cause, so please donate - Every little will make the biggest difference to Mae!!
