I'm trying to raise money for Help for Heroes by competing in one of the toughest endurance events in the world - Ironman UK on 22 Jul 2012. The event consists of a 2.4 mile open water swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and then if that's not enough, finish off with a marathon; all in half a day and without a break!! So please help.

Those that know me will probably say that I am fit and that this will be easy, I've never done anything like this before, have had both knees operated on last year and will also try to provide encouragement to a few injured service men and women around the course aswell. I'm not a triathlete by any stretch of the imagination and have infact had to borrow most of my kit. I'm training hard as not to let anyone down so please please help me reach my target.
