Talk - Sustainability - The Intersectionalities Between Environmentalism and Everyday Living · 14 October 2020

Rainforest Concern was established as a UK registered charity in 1993 to protect threatened natural habitats and the biodiversity they contain, together with the indigenous people who depend on them for survival. In 32 years we have helped to protect over 2.2 million hectares of threatened forests.

Story

Sustainability - The Intersectionalities Between Environmentalism and Everyday Living In a world where the Amazon rainforest is burning, polar ice caps are melting and mass destruction of habitats are taking place, it can be difficult to know where to start to be kinder to the planet. In this talk, we will present the case for the climate, explain how we got here and where we are headed without change. We will give you practical tips on how you can reduce your carbon footprint, how you can influence your community and how we can turn the climate emergency around. Ingrid Bååth and Rhianna Davies-Smith are two conservationists working for environmental charities in Bath. Through social media, they are educating people on how to live sustainably and combat the effects of climate change
