Lucy Biswell is raising money for Paddle Steamer Waverley
In memory of Geoff Woods

Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world and operates around the U.K. carrying over 100,000 passengers a year. We maintain and operate her for public benefit. Waverley has been withdrawn from service and now requires new boilers to sail again. Please help Save the Waverley.

Story

Hi all.

I'm cycling 215 miles from Hornsea on the east coast of England to Southport on the west coast. Along the Trans Pennine Trail. I've never cycled this far before, so it'll certainly be a challenge. I will complete the ride in 3 days all being well.

I am doing this in memory of my dad who would of been 60 this year. He was a big fan of steam, which is why I have choosen to support the Waverley Paddle Steamer Charity in the hope of seeing the world's last seagoing passenger carrier in action as it is currently out of service in need of new boilers.
