We provide support and fund vital research to make myeloma history

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In June 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare and incurable type of blood cancer deep in the bone marrow which causes bone damage and kidney issues. I'm setting up this fundraising page a week ahead of my stem cell transplant. I know it will be a gruelling process but it will give me the best chance of some remission time before the cancer inevitably comes back.

Those at the forefront of Myeloma research assure us patients that they are working on development of, and equally importantly NICE approval of, newer drugs which are more effective and with fewer side effects. And we may even hold out hope for a cure within our lifetimes. The sooner this can be achieved, the less transplants myself or others may have to go through and the longer we may live for.

I haven't set any grand fundraising target as I really do think that whatever anyone can give is very much appreciated by myself and thousands of others, and the money will be used efficiently and effectively by Myeloma UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
