HEINEKEN Race to the Tower 2019 · 8 June 2019 to 9 June 2019 ·
We are a team of highly skilled Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists at LOROS hospice who work with palliative and end of life patients to help manage symptoms such as pain, breathlessness, fatigue and general deconditioning. Patients want to remain physically independent for as long as possible with their changing condition so our role is to help optimise function and capability for patients to live well, enhancing many aspects of their quality of life.
We are taking on this double marathon through the heart of the Cotswolds; covering 52 miles and climbing 7,476ft over 2 days to raise funds for the invaluable services that LOROS Hospice provides.
LOROS is a fantastic local charity that provides free care for over 2,500 terminally ill patients in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This care could not be provided without valuable donations from people like you.
LOROS needs to raise a huge £6 million a year to continue providing it's services. This is what your money could pay for:
£5 could pay for meals for a patient for a day.
£10 could pay for collection of a patient from home for day therapy.
£25 could pay for 1 hour of inpatient care.
£850 could pay for the running of the charity for 1 hour.
Your support really would make a huge difference to our patients and their families. Thank you from all of us! Wish us luck......
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
