For Ali

Ali was my youngest son's best friend. He lived his life to the full, despite living with Cystic Fibrosis, but sadly lost his battle in June of this year.
Ali's family are in the process of setting up a charity in his memory, to be called "Ali's Gift". The aim of the charity will be to give young Cystic Fibrosis sufferers the chance to have experiences like Ali had.
The process of setting up a charity takes time, so in the meantime, for this year, I will be raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in Ali's memory.
My first fundraising adventure will be the Epping Forest "Fright Hike". For those who haven't heard of it, I will be hiking 35km at night (in the dark!) -and facing my two biggest fears:- exercise and all things nocturnal!
The hike is on 1st November, and my good friend Sue Rowland will be hiking with me for moral support.
Ali showed in his short time with us what you can achieve despite this illness, and with your kind donations we can hopefully give other young Cystic Fibrosis sufferers (and their family and friends) the best possible lives.
Thank you for any donation, big or small. They all add up.
