Story
Gosh - I am sorry dear friends if I am beginning to sound like a broken record but ..........
I am doing the Breast Cancer Care Ribbon Walk again, my third time. I have pledged to raise £200.00 again.
I know that we are all broke but Mum and Diane both fought this bloody awful disease so heroically, I cannot support this charity enough.
Please, don't send me a Christmas/birthday card -put the money here instead. If you are overseas and we would have had a glass or 2, if we were together - please put something here instead.
However small - it all mounts up and makes a difference.
Cancer has claimed far too many people I love but treatments and detection are getting better.
I need to support those that are seeking a cure, bettering detection and treatments of cancer.
Thankfully, in addition there those who are supporting people who already have this disease - their help cannot be underestimated. When you are told that you have cancer, your world folds in. Treatments, side effects, loosing hair.....breasts........thankfully the results are getting better but getting through is though.
I can vividly remember my mum saying that she flatly refused to be bald at my wedding .....and Diane - well her hair is what everyone remembers about her.
Breast Cancer Care provides that much needed support - with your donation, however small perhaps we can make a difference.
Thank you. Much love as always, Lorraine xxx
