Event: Lost Hours Walk, from 26 October 2019 to 27 October 2019
In memory of Gary Vyse
When it hurts we talk. When the clocks go back we walk. 11pm, Sat 26 October: Time to unite against suicide. As time goes backwards, we're walking forwards to campaign against feeling shit, against struggling in silence, against living miserably.

Story

On Saturday 26th October members of Gary Vyse's family and friends (TeamVyse) will be joining CALMs first ever charity event and walking either 20 or 10 miles, from Greenwich to Big Ben and back again! Our feet hurt just thinking about it! But we are determined to do it!

In doing this we will come together to challenge ourselves in dedication to the memory of our much loved and much missed son, brother and friend, Gary Vyse. In doing so we will celebrate the memory of Gaz, support a charity that is taking action, and to fundraise in support of CALMs work that seeks to; raise awareness; help people who are suffering;  but also to help prevent the unthinkable from happening; so that other families and friends don't have to suffer the loss and grief we, and many others have. For those who can't join us we hope that you will show your solidarity and support by donating, even if it is just a small amount, to this valuable charity!

From CALM information of the 'Lost Hours Walk:'

The Lost Hours walk is our first CALM event and our opportunity to deal with grief differently and defiantly. We want to smash the silence around loss, and remember our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and friends out on the streets of London. Be part of it. Walk with us from Greenwich to Big Ben and back again to make change happen, and continue to grow our life-saving services. We have created the Lost Hours Walk for everyone who has lost someone to suicide, or who cares, as we do, about the thousands of lives lost every year. This will be a chance to come together with friends, family and other CALM supporters to remember, celebrate, take action and fundraise. The event will take place overnight on 26 October 2019, the night the clocks go back.
