Story
22 years ago, my Grandad was first diagnosed with Prostate cancer.
Since his diagnosis he has, in his words, been microwaved (radiotherapy) and frozen (cryotherapy) and now relies on hormone therapy.
Grandy has been a hugely influential person in my life, and I’m constantly inspired by his resilience and passion for supporting others during his treatments.
As someone who has never really been able to run, this will be a significant challenge, but I think it’s for such a good cause. So, if you
could spare any money to donate it would be greatly appreciated and will help so many men like Grandy.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's thousands of dads, grandads, partners, brothers, uncles, sons and mates. But it doesn't have to be this way. The money you raise will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments to help men live long and live well.
