Story
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.
Out of those 10,000+ people in the UK living with CF, there's one person who means more to me than anyone else, and that's Sarah. She is one of my closest and most loyal friends, and despite only being in my life for a few years I just can't imagine not knowing her. While she loves to moan about a lot of things, for someone living with something that affects her so much at times, she carries on without fuss, living her best life.
And I'm going to embarrass her with this soppy little speech because she's the one who conned me into running this thing, so ha!
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
