Story

This is part of the #teamclague page.

On the 20th May #teamclague will be running in the Manchester 10km and half marathon. What started as a few of us running in Andy's memory, has now blossomed to a staggering 35 runners. Absolutely blown away by everyone's support! Thank you!

Runners and supporters are uniting in Manchester to celebrate our amazing, inspirational Andy who suffered for 2 years with blood cancer. Despite this cruel disease taking away his mobility and eventually his life, his sense of humour remained intact and very much alive. He was a truly remarkable human being and one who has taught us all about the important things in life.

We are running various distances -  a contingent in the kids races, the 10km and 4 of us half marathon.  The journeys that have grown from this challenge are simply incredible and one's I would not have believed but for having seen them with my own eyes. This has changed people. But then that was Andy for you!

I am running the half marathon (along with Lisa, Andy's little sister and two of his cousins, James and Stephen). Oh and then the 10km! A moment of madness I know but I want to experience #teamclague to the full!

We want to show how much we love we have for Andy, how much we miss him, and will always remember him. A unique and very special human being who touched so many people. This is an opportunity to do something positive and constructive to help us deal with our grief and sadness.

Lets raise some money to help beat this horrid disease. If you can't donate money, please think about donating blood or your stem cells instead? Thank you so much.  Lou xxx
