The Friends of the Baby Unit was established 47 years ago (1976) to raise money for equipment for use in the intensive care of preterm and sick newborn babies being cared for on the Neonatal unit at The Royal Derby Hospital. The money raised over that time is now over £2 million pounds. Thank you

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Louie Charles was born by emergency c section on  12.12.17 and passed away on 14.12.17 due to multiorgan failure caused by sepsis.

Whilst Louie was on the unit he was looked after by the most wonderful team of consultants doctors and nurses. The support we received as parents was gold standard and although incredibly traumatic we could not have asked for anymore.

It is important as grieving parents to give something back to this wonderful team and this the only way we can think of.

Thank you for your support at this difficult time.
