Cycling Big Life Centres Fundraiser · 15 October 2010
I am planning to bruise my arse, murder my thighs, have a sweaty crotch all to raise money for VSO.... NOW HAND IT OVER!!!
...and then I am going to volunteer for 26 months in Nepal for Voluntary Services Overseas in November. I will be volunteering as an Organisational Development Advisor for an NGO's which campaigns for the rights of people with disabilities.
VSO task all volunteers with raising £900 which helps to keep VSO going. To raise this money I have set myself the challenge of cycling to each Big Life Centre in a day which is 42 miles, more than I have ever cycled!
The route will start at the Kath Locke Centre (Moss Side) to the Zion Centre (Hulme) to the Wellbeing Centre (Stockport), to Partington Healthy Living Centre, to the Energise and Willow Tree Centres (Salford), to the Cheetwood Centre and finally back to the Kath Locke Centre.
I know times of tough but they are not as bad as in developing countries which is where VSO work, so please consider donating to VSO even a little amount will go a long way.
