On 31st January this year my sister, Hayley, had a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD), a very rare type of Heart Attack. This condition strikes fit and healthy people like Hayley, with none of the 'usual' lifestyle factors associated with Heart Attacks. It happened to Hayley without any warning, and resulted in emergency surgery and now a long period of recovery ahead. So far, the cause of this kind of Heart Attack is unknown. If you'd like to donate to this cause (and give me some much-needed motivation for finishing this marathon!) I'd be very grateful. I'll be running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 3rd April, and would love to be able to raise at least £500 for BeatSCAD, a charity dedicated to raising awareness of this under-diagnosed condition, providing support, and raising funds for research. Thank you so much!
