FOBS aim is to provide funds to enhance the lives of children aged between 2-11 with special needs who attend Brooklands School. These funds enhance school activities and provide much needed specialist equipment giving our children a broader opportunity to thrive.

Story

Brooklands School is a very special and amazing school for children aged 2-11 who have complex medical needs and severe learning disabilities. Our son, Derrin, has been at Brooklands since he was 2.5 years old and will be entering his final year next year. Derrin has made such tremendous progress in his time there, much of it due to the truly fantastic, dedicated and nurturing staff teams.

Every single child at Brooklands is a hero and Derrin, our very own superhero, wants to thank Brooklands by raising money for them, so that all the other children can continue to surpass expectations! Raising a child with special needs doesn't just take a family, it takes an army and Brooklands gives just that! We would like to give a little back.

Derrin is therefore raising money to help fund the purchase of vital playground equipment that is so so so critical to aid the development of these special children. Derrin is taking part in the Sprint Superhero Tri (150m open water swim, 3K bike and 1K run/push) with his little family of sidekicks to support him round the course. To the people that said he wouldn't ever even walk or know the world he lives in, Brooklands has proved otherwise and on August 19th, Derrin will show you everything that this very special school has given him and us ....

It's big. It's bold. It's gutsy. It's the UK’s one and only disability sports series for the everyday Superhero!
