Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2017 in memory of Bella Northam who died unexpectedly on Boxing day 2015. As many of you will be aware I was Bella's Nanny and continue to be Nanny to her siblings Ben, Olivia and Zander.
Bella suffered from a severe form of Muscular Dystrophy. I will never forget the support given by Noah's Ark Children's Hospice to Bella and her family. They continue to support Bella's siblings for which I am very grateful.
Bella always found the sight of me in my running gear highly amusing and, more often than not, had to remind me to remove my glasses. Her amusement would always set me off on a good footing. Bella was, and always will be, with me when I run.
Despite her physical limitations Bella was such a very brave and determined little girl who achieved so much in her short life. When I hit the wall and feel myself struggling badly and want to give up I think of Bella and this gives me the conviction and determination to push on. I have no doubt I will experience a few moments like this during my 26.2 mile journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any donation, no matter the size, will be hugely appreciated by myself, Bella's family and Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. It is a charity based organisation and proceeds will ensure that they can offer help and support to other children and their families.
