We Support children and their families to Cope with bereavement and grief

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 4th June 2022, we will be taking part in a 5k sponsored walk at Barra Hall Park, along with other bereaved families, to support Halo Children's Foundation.

Halo Children's Foundation aims to help provide support, information, guidance and hope to children of all ages and their families dealing with bereavement after the death of a loved one. They provide a variety of services to help bereaved children and their family, allowing children opportunities to express themselves, and providing positive experiences and tools to equip families with ways to rebuild their lives and provide support so they do not grieve alone. They run regular groups to allow parents and carers to meet others while children get involved in expressive arts and play and are able to make friends who may be going through similar experiences. They also run the Halo Play Cafe in The Chimes which provides a fun space for children living locally as well as being a place where bereaved children and families can access support and workshops.

We as a family have found the support that Halo give invaluable following the loss of our daughter Jessica in 2018. Halo have helped support Sophie through her grief at losing her sister and have helped provide her and her little brother Thomas build new happy memories.
