Since I spend my career working on breast cancer, I'm well aware of the challenges that remain to improve outcome from this disease. I am also aware of how expensive research is, and the important contribution charities make in supporting this. Breast Cancer Campaign is a fantastic charity totally committed to making a difference to patients with breast cancer. I'm fortunate enough to have some of my research funded by Campaign, and to be part of the amazing Breast Cancer Campaign Tissue Bank. So I thought it was time to give something back.....

Deciding to run the London Marathon was probably madness. I am not an experienced runner, though, between injuries, I have enjoyed pushing myself. And I am very determined!

I know people are being asked to donate to good causes all the time, but all contributions, however small, add up and will make a difference.
